Ghost Bridge is a light installation by the artist Keith Bowler that was part of London’s first annual art exhibition on the River Thames – Drift 08. The latest laser technology was used to recreate the old Blackfriars Railway bridge across the bare supporting pillars that still remain. In this picture it is paralleled by the Victorian road bridge to the west, the pair mirroring the synthesis of old and new that gives London its unique character.
