Ghost Bus is an image of London Bridge. A bridge has existed there for nearly 2000 years and until 1750 it was the only bridge across the Thames in London. The changing faces of this crossing echo those of London as a whole, and it is the centre of many of the city’s myths and legends. Its current incarnation may not appear as majestic as the neighbouring Tower Bridge, but its utilitarian architecture cannot undermine its status as the main artery to the heart of London. It has a rich history of travel and procession, from the pilgrimages to Canterbury to the modern day commuters who stream across it morning and night. This picture represents today’s travellers and the ghosts of all those that came before them.
